We are extremely happy and proud to announce the acceptance of our abstract “Digital Innovations in Visualizing Concepts of Ayurveda Sharira” in the 10th World Ayurveda Conference & Arogya Expo that recently concluded in Dehradun. It is organized by the World Ayurveda Foundation, Vijnana Bharati, and supported by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India along with the State Government of Uttarakhand. More than 10,000 delegates and 221 enterprises from 58 countries participated in this prestigious event.

In adherence with the conferences’ focal theme of digital health, Immersive Labz emphasizes the innovative and transformative potential of Virtual Dissection Tables (VDTs) in Ayurveda education.

Ayurveda has gained popularity in recent times and there has been a surge in students applying for Ayurveda courses. However, the challenge of limited cadaver availability limits learning. Additionally, formaldehyde stored in cadavers hinders visualizing important body structures and components.

The abstract emphasizes how VDTs, with their interactive 3D visualizations, enable students to grasp complex anatomical concepts such as Rachana Sharira and its correlation to tissues (dhatus), organs (koshtanga), and vital areas (marmas). Additionally, a VDT enables students to correlate between the English and Sanskrit terminology, interpreting unambiguously, particularly in subjects like Sankhya Sharir, Asthi Sharir, and Sandhi Sharir.

In conclusion, VDTs significantly enhance the understanding and application of Ayurvedic principles. It is a digital innovation that has tremendous potential to transform medical education and make an invaluable impact on the careers of medical professionals.
